Founded in 1995, GPS Industries Inc. is a leading international developer of global positioning systems and Wi-Fi multimedia solutions. The Sarasota, Fla.-based company’s products and services enable managers of golf facilities, resorts, and residential communities improve operational efficiencies and create new revenue opportunities.

The Company's product portfolio includes the patented Inforemer® Management Solutions system, which provides a complete GPS golf business solution. The Inforemer system combines powerful backend management information system and revenue generating modules with mobile color handheld or cart-mounted GPS units, seamlessly connected via a wireless, high-speed Wi-Fi network.

GPSI owns the GPS golf patents for all major golf markets worldwide, including North America, Australia, Japan and 11 European nations. The GPSI board of directors includes legendary golfer and businessman, Greg Norman, whose company, Great White Shark Enterprises, is also an investor.

Milestones

• January 2009: GPS Industries partners with Club Car for Guardian System to help courses protect their most important assets – their customers and their course.
• June 2008: GPS Industries Appoints David Chessler as CEO
• January 2008: GPS Industries Acquires UpLink Corp., a leading developer of GPS and Wi-Fi enabled applications for the North American golf market. The acquisition expanded GPSI’s worldwide installed customer base to more than 300 golf facilities.
• January 2007: GPS Industries introduces the only full-motion PGA Tour-style GPS flyover feature for the golf industry.
• November 2006: GPS Industries announces $15.7 million investment from Greg Norman's Great White Shark Enterprises and Dubai-based Leisurecorp LLC
• August 2006: 2006 Skins Game Features GPS Industries’ INFOREMER
• 2004: On July 2, GPS Industries purchased the patents to Differential GPS in Australia, Japan and 11 European nations. On November 19, 2004, the company also acquired the patents to GPS-for-golf in the United States and in Canada.
